Teaching a Dynamics CRM class at such a widely accredited school as the Haworth College of Business (HCoB) at WMU (Western Michigan University) is an honor. It is pioneering and challenging. It has improved my CRM Consulting immensely. Let’s face it, training and user adoption are critical to a CRM deployment. Preparing the entire course, delivering the lectures in the computer lab and using CRM to manage the whole process is the single most valuable training experience I have ever been through.
During this class, I have developed and deployed “real world” customizations and workflow which the students interact with on every assignment. We pretend we are a Business College and they are employees. The goal is not only to learn CRM, but build it out into a “real world” example the students can identify with.
Identifying with, relating and applying what you read in a book and listen to in a lecture, in real time, is intellectually priceless.
