No! It comes with detailed instructions that take only a couple of minutes. In a nut shell, the only requirement is to make sure the correct "Object Library" is installed in Excel. This library allows our custom VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to "talk to Outlook from Excel." It is all built in. Below is an example of all that is required.
Quick Instructions: Make sure the Microsoft Outlook Object Library is installed. In a NEW BLANK INSTANCE of Excel, go to the Tools menu and choose Macro then Visual Basic Editor. When the Visual Basic Editor opens (don't be afraid) go to the Tools menu, then References... Scroll through the list (see image below) until you find the "Microsoft Outlook 9.0 Object Library (may be named 10.0, 11.0, 12.0 depending on what version of Office you are running). Click the box and then click OK. Close the Visual Basic Editor. Close Excel. Reopen Excel.
